The annual “The Food items That Manufactured Us” Tour kicks off this calendar year on Friday, June 3 in the Bronx and Saturday, June 4, in Brooklyn with no cost food stuff trucks in each places, in honor of Immigrant Heritage Thirty day period.

Immigrant Heritage Month is a nationwide celebration of immigration held every single June with an purpose to provide new avenues for persons and corporations to support immigrants in their communities and workplaces throughout the year.

This year’s celebration is hosted yet again by the I Stand With Immigrants Initiative. New York Metropolis citizens will be treated to a weekend of festive food items, encouraging them to take a look at their heritage and celebrate the month with their neighbors. 

The two trucks showcased include IHM’s traveling foods truck serving curated recipes from celebrity chefs – together with Joanne Chang, Tom Colicchio, Byron Gomez, Christine Ha, and Hawa Hassan as properly as community preferred truck Island Spice Grill. Island Spice Grill also will have a truck on hand with a menu of authentic Caribbean dishes.

At each individual halt, they’ll share the stories that went into each delectable bite – and the folks and cultures behind them.
