Japanese restaurant Jugemu will soon open in New Jersey.

The eatery, which offers a wide variety of sushi and other Japanese dishes, will open in Cresskill on May 22.

Jugemu will replace Umeya, which occupied the space at 156 Piermont Rd. since 1996.

A grand opening ceremony will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 22.

The ceremony will include a whole tuna cutting demonstration, in which the tuna will be made into traditional sushi blocks.

Jugemu’s interior will feature seating along a sushi bar and a dining room equipped to seat approximately 45 people.

The sushi spot will open Tuesday through Sunday from 4:30-9:30 p.m.
