Blake Lively and Beth Behrs are known to dish about recipes and cooking tips, bonding over their shared love of baking. Their funny banter on social media gets fans engaged, so what about a Lively/Behrs cooking show on the Food Network?
Behrs is totally into it.
Behrs recently told Showbiz Cheat Sheet she and Lively haven’t met in person, but they have shared quite a few funny moments on social media. For instance, Behrs posted about a question during a recent Jeopardy episode. The question was, “The original of this series that featured Blake Lively and Leighton Meester as privileged teens in New York City.”
The answer was Gossip Girl. But the contestant replied, “What are Two Broke Girls?” Behrs couldn’t resist sharing the video and captioned it, “Oh the kids these days….” Lively commented, “Love a crossover.”

Behrs laughed, recalling the moment on Jeopardy. “I saw that and I thought it was so funny,” she laughed. “Because Gossip Girl is like the richest two girls in New York. And we were the brokest girls in New York. And the way that guy said it on Jeopardy, he was so annoyed. Like, ‘Uh, Two Broke Girls?’ It was literally one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen, and they were like, ‘No.’ And Mayim Bialik was like ‘No.’ So good [laughs].”
“You know, I’ve never met [Lively] in person, but we’ve DM’d on Instagram about baking. I go to her because she’s so good. She’s given me some baking tips,” she said. Adding, “I would love a good Blake Lively Food Network show. That would be a dream for me.”

But what about the crossover Lively joked about on Instagram? Behrs thought a cooking show with Lively would be a blast. “Tell Food Network to call me!” Behrs laughed. Adding that Lively is the master in the kitchen and she would love to be her grasshopper.
“I love her,” Behrs said about Lively. “She’s like a mini Martha Stewart. She knows decor, she knows everything. And I could learn a lot from her.”

“I asked her for apple pie tips around Thanksgiving, and she gave me some good ones, and that was my favorite thing. And something else I asked her that was an emergency, that I DM’d her about – oh gingerbread!” Behrs exclaimed. “And I think she was kind of like, ‘Ew gingerbread … I don’t even …’ [laughs]. But I love gingerbread cookies. And I wanted to get them perfect. But they were either too baked or underbaked, and with how thick they were. Just trying to figure out if I did something wrong or whatever. But that’s why baking is trial and error.”
Behrs shared that she had a marble island installed in her kitchen specifically for baking. “So I could roll out [dough] on marble,” she said. “That was the one thing I wanted.”
Beth Behrs bakes to destress
Behrs definitely does not give herself enough credit for her mad baking skills. A quick trip to her Instagram shows a slew of luxuriously divine cookies, pies, cakes, and more. Behrs said she turns to baking as a way to decompress.
“It’s a really fun zen activity to do when I’m stressed out at night. And it’s really fun to bring people treats on show days. Also, it’s a great gift for people’s birthdays or a fun Friday afternoon treat kind of thing. So, this is hilarious, I don’t actually like baked goods.”

“My husband gets so annoyed because he’s trying to get in shape, and I’ll just be like, ‘Here, I baked some brownies.’ But I don’t eat them and he does. He’s like, ‘Beth! You have to go give those away!’ But if you give me jelly beans, I’ll eat the whole thing. Candy, sold! I’m just not a big baked goods person. So for me, genuinely, I do it for fun. Unless it’s a peanut butter cookie. That’s my favorite thing to eat.”
Comedy is another way for Beth to destress
She also turns to comedy to destress. Behrs recently partnered with Schick Intuition Bamboo for a hilarious spot with a message. “This whole campaign is so close to my heart because of using laughter and also that feeling we all have of like, ‘Oh, I’ll never be as good as the celebrity influencers with their green tastic.’ But it’s like, ‘No, I don’t have to be.
