Pork Recall Expands to More Than 2 Million Pounds of Products, Including Items Sold at Whole Foods

Last week’s recall of cooked pork products has now expanded to include more than two million pounds of food, and 10 additional items. On December 5, Alexander & Hornung, a meat producer and a unit of Perdue, recalled approximately 234,391 pounds of fully cooked ham and pepperoni. By December 11, the recall was updated to include 2,320,774 pounds of products.

The items, which include several different varieties of ham and pepperoni, are being recalled because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. All products subject to recall bear the establishment number “EST. M10125” inside the USDA mark of inspection.
